I'm so proud to be born and raised in Temple, and I'm thankful this community is my home. I'm excited to announce my amazing Mother and I are working on a scholarship to benefit our youth and our community!

The Allison Dickson Temple Proud Scholarship is through the Temple Education Foundation, and once endowed it will be awarded to a Temple High School Senior who will be attending Temple College. The recipient is to display the highest characteristics of leadership, academic achievement/potential, and service to his or her community.

I truly believe in the power of education, and it's a dream come true for part of my legacy to be able to help others along their journey and reach their educational goals. I am a proud alum of Temple Independent School District, and I also took classes at Temple College Official Page. I hope this scholarship will be able to make a lasting impact on its recipients and our community. My Mother and I have made the initial gift to start the fund, and I hope it will be supported by our community to reach endowment and be a permanent scholarship for generations of students to come.

TISD gave me a firm foundation to build on both academically and personally, and I credit that start for setting me on the path to future successes, values, and lifelong friendships and role models.

The scholarship became endowed in 2018, and my hope is to continue to grow the fund to offer more assistance to the recipients each year. I also hope to be able to present the award annually to the student, but if I am unable to do so then someone on my behalf will present it. I hope the recipients will be proud to receive this help, and I hope I can encourage them to believe that with determination and hard work anything is possible.
