In 1888, Tri Delta #Founders envisioned a women's #sorority that would encompass the ideals of #truth, #selfsacrifice, and #friendship. These forward-thinking women were #visionaries and saw a need for a different type of women's #organization. The #foundation of this new group was the guiding #principle that its members would be #kind alike to all and #value a woman's inner self and #character more than her outer #appearance.
On a hill in #Boston on #ThanksgivingEve 131 years ago, #DeltaDeltaDelta was founded! ⭐️📷 I'm honored to be part of Tri Delta at Southwestern University and the larger network of almost 240,000 #sisters around the world. Joining this amazing #sisterhood was one of the best, most rewarding experiences of my life. On a #local and #national level, I'm proud of what we stand for, the #philanthropic work we do, and the #steadfast love we share. #TriDelta has and continues to give me so much more than I could ever give back, but in this season of #thankfulness I remember those young women who took a chance on founding this special group so many years ago. I remember the women at Southwestern who took a chance on me and said, "Welcome home!" I'm not your classic #beauty, but I am proud of who I am and #thankful that they saw something in me that maybe I didn't even see in myself.
