#tbt to #MySeniorYear when I was honored to be named #FootballSweetheart for the Temple Wildcat #football team 💙🏈❤️ The game was on #Halloween night against our cross town #rivals, #Belton. My #Wildcats won with a last second field goal, and as we stormed the field in youthful #celebration some of the guys yelled, "We did it for you!" Good memories of great #FridayNightLights 🌟I'm always #TempleProud, and this was a moment I’ll never forget. Shortly after this there was a picture taken with my #parents. In it I know I was trying not to cry, but I wish I knew what my #Dad was whispering in my ear. Maybe it was, "The #home and #visitor sides are standing" or "Hold it together" or hopefully "I'm #proud of you!" ☺️ And next to me is #Mom as #classy and #sassy as ever in her lucky blue Wildcat dress! #SappyPost, but #OnceASweetheartAlwaysASweetheart! #GoCats!!
Friday I will return to Wildcat Stadium after far too many years and have the honor of doing the ceremonial coin toss before the game. There may be happy tears. There will be good memories. My parents will be there in spirit hopefully proud and definitely excited.
