6 months ago today I came #home from a two month stay in the #hospital and am #thankful to say #AlliBeatCovid đđ» Those months and the aftermath were a #fight for my life. During my stay at Baylor Scott & White, I met some of the kindest people. People like Maddie, a #patient care tech, who stayed with me and helped me night and day. These #healthcare workers took care of my #medical and #physical needs, but they had no idea how their presence helped my #emotional and #spiritual needs. I knew I wasnât alone. They were #motivation to keep pushing forward. Maddie even taught me how to play #SkipBo - Now remember I was on a #ventilator unable to breathe or speak on my own. She devised a way to read my eye movements and let me fully participate. And go on an undefeated winning streak đ #champ
#tbt to this week when Maddie came to my house to see me. I always wish the staff who see me at my worst could see me at my best, and she did đ #Grateful to call her my #friend đ«¶đ» And she finally beat me at SkipBo đđ
